You Oughta Know: Ethica

AWAVEAWAKE
I was on the hunt for a shopping site that works like Net-A-Porter and Shopbop but for people who more concerned with ethical, eco-friendly and vegan fashion options. I came across the awesome website Ethica.

From their website:
"Ethica is an online retailer where you can learn about ethical fashion, discover emerging designers, and shop a high-style selection of ethical and sustainable labels.
Our goal is to connect consumers and companies that share a commitment to social and environmental responsibility. Through this website, we hope to contextualize shopping within a larger global narrative, highlighting the very real impacts of our collective consumption choices. That, and we want to help you find responsibly made wardrobe pieces that rock your world. We want you to love what you wear, and we want you to keep your purchases for a long, long time so they don't end up in a landfill. That's why, as far as we're concerned, showstopping design is non-negotiable. The designers featured on this site create beautiful products and responsible companies. They've invested time and resources in being as planet- and people-friendly as possible. Some of the commitments they've made? Sourcing ecologically responsible materials, developing sustainable production processes, treating their workers well, and giving to charity. We've brought a few of our favorites brands together on this site to make finding stylish, sustainable fashion a little easier. To provide, literally and figuratively, a small fashion fix, while we all endeavor as a community to bring about permanent, industry-wide solutions. Ethica is proud to offer eco-friendly packaging and free, carbon-neutral shipping with every domestic order. Our company is based in a LEED-certified green building in New York City. We support Nest, a nonprofit dedicated to the development of responsible artisan businesses, and we are affiliated with the Future Threads Project, a global nonprofit promoting sustainable attitudes toward fashion and trends."
