A Little Bit about Steph (In her own words):
I was born and bred in Pittsburgh, but from a young age I felt the pull to travel as much as possible. I got into modeling when a coworker sent me to a local casting, and it sort of snowballed from there. My natural tendencies to wander led me to meeting some incredible photographers and artists, and due to that I got the attention of Factor Women Chicago. I was signed via Skype.
Its in my nature to always stay busy making something; it's very rare you'll find me without a camera or a sketchbook. Along with modeling I work at a contemporary art gallery as an installer and educator. I also assist an incredible florist. That sort of composite lifestyle works best for me; I feel happy and inspired when I have several different ventures going at once.
Favorite book is a tough one. I think I would have to choose Just Kids by Patti Smith. I've always looked to Patti as not only one of my favorite musicians but also a style icon of mine. Favorite movie is O' Brother Where Art Thou (The Cohen brothers color palate + that humor).
My playlist is a monster, and it tends to change day to day. Lately I've been stuck on The Stooges, Ty Segall, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The Sonics, Jacques Dutronc, and The Slits. I am a hardcore White Stripes/ Jack White fan; so that's also usually present.
If I could go back in time and tell myself anything it would be to not be afraid to live boldly. I made the decision a few years ago to pursue everything that kept me inspired and happy.
Thanks to some incredible people and opportunities I've been able to continue to create, travel, and explore. I feel very lucky to be where I am today.
